The Leader in Me

 

As a Leader in Me school, Rondo School of Discovery embraces a See-Do-Get model. We see things differently...called paradigms we believe that everyone can be a leader, everyone has genius, change starts with me, empowered students can lead their own learning, and educators and families must partner together to develop the whole person. These paradigms is how we see things differently as a school.

 

Because we see things differently, we do things differently. We start our leadership instruction by learning ourselves and modeling habits of effectiveness. Then we teach students to lead, inviting them to be integral parts of the learning program here, not merely as participants, but as co-leaders with teachers and staff. At Rondo, we have created a leadership environment where you can see student leadership, feel student leadership, and experience student leadership in all aspects of our school. Finally, we have connected our leadership theme to the academic program by teaching the 4 Disciplines of Execution so that students not only set goals, but daily understand what needs to be done for them to reach their goals.

 

Being a Leader in Me school is how we are preparing our young students for college and career and life in the 21st Century. We end up with highly effective students and adults who are leaders in their school and community. We have a high-trust school culture where every person's voice is heard and their potential is affirmed. And we have engaged students who are equipped to achieve and entrusted to lead their own learning.
